Thermal Journeys for Success.
Most of the spas I visit have a sauna, a steam room and a pool.
On paper, that ticks the box. The facility offers thermal experiences, the brochure can say so, and the project moves on to the next line of the brief.
But a sauna, a steam room and a pool are not a thermal journey. They are three rooms.
Additionally, I see this scene here again and again: A guest steps into the sauna and stays two minutes. From there, straight into the steam room for another two. A quick dip of the toes into the cold plunge pool if there is. Then onto a heated lounger, five minutes at most. And on the way out, just for fun, a run through the rain shower path, or a pull on the cold water bucket.
No logic. No order. No real rest.
